Who I Am

From the time I was young I have always been interested in construction and officially started my career in the building industry when in high school at the age of 15.  The building industry helped me save and pay for college and never realized at the time what a wonderful trade I was learning that would stay with me my entire life.  After graduating college in 1986, I moved to Armonk New York where I started East West Builders of Westchester and spent 9 years focused at new and remodel construction throughout NY and CT.  A back injury forced me to look at other ways to make a living so I leveraged my college and business knowledge learned while running  and managing a construction company into the corporate sector which served me well the next 25 years.

The pull of building never left my blood and I found myself working every weekend and after hours on projects and continued to employ a small crew that I managed part time.  Numerous changes in the corporate sector and my continued interest in the building industry  made the decision easy for me to leave the corporate sector and leverage my years in building and joined the Home inspection industry.  I went back to school for nine months, and passed the National Home Inspector Exam and officially opened BigSky Home Inspections.  This move while scary and challenging, (back in the classroom after 30 years) allows me the opportunity to leverage 40 years of construction experience, develop new and exciting business relationships/friends and determine my future. 

For most of us, purchasing a home is one of the most challenging yet rewarding accomplishments in our lives. I am excited to play a small role in in the home buying process and helping my clients make a better informed decision in which home they purchase.
